The student research group at the department has been operating since all the years since the founding of the department and traditionally develops scientific potential, prepares students for the ability to creatively approach various problems in obstetrics and gynecology, delve into the pathogenesis of the pathological process and seek optimal solutions.
Students who are interested in deepening their knowledge, mastering practical skills and conducting research work visit the student scientific society of the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Family Planning.
Every year several dozen students of different courses study in the obstetrics and gynecology group. The circle works according to the work plan approved at the meeting of the department. Circle meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month.
The curator of the student scientific circle of the department is Candidate of Medical Sciences, assistant Sukhostavets Natalia Petrivna.

At the meetings of the circle the peculiarities of the course of this or that pathology are covered with the analysis of specific cases and multimedia support, which is prepared by the circle members themselves under the guidance of the curator. Almost all groups carry out research work under the guidance of employees of the department. The results of the work performed are presented at scientific forums and published in periodicals.
