Teachers of the department while working at SumDU published about 400 scientific papers. They participated in 29 international and 45 national congresses, congresses, conferences. Students participate in national competitions, international congresses and win prizes. Students published 142 articles, made 94 reports at the final conferences of the institute.
From 2016 to the present, the department carries out research work “Reproductive health of women in the Sumy region” \u2116 0116U005659, which includes PhD thesis: “Tactics of management of pregnant women with polyhydramnios in bacterial and viral infections”,”Placental dysfunction in women with metabolic syndrome”, “Prevention of postoperative complications in older women”, “Peculiarities of pregnancy and childbirth in abnormal placentation”, “Prevention and treatment of previous involution of the reproductive system in endometriosis”, “Cesarean section in women with infertility of various genesis “,” Placental dysfunction in women with a history of hyperandrogenism “.<\/p>

The main scientific achievements of the department:<\/strong><\/p>

  • 5 doctoral dissertations were defended (Ya. S. Zhernovaya, 1996; VI Boyko, 2008; ML Kuzyomenska, 2013; IM Nikitina, 2019; A.V. Boyko, 2020);<\/li>

      As part of the research work of the department:<\/strong><\/p>

      • thoroughly studied purulent-septic complications after cesarean section;<\/li>
      • an integrative approach to reproductive health problems has been studied and implemented;<\/li>
      • measures for the prevention of obstetric bleeding have been developed;<\/li>
      • developed and implemented methods of prevention of puerperal purulent-septic diseases;<\/li>
      • developed and implemented treatment of genital herpes with domestic drug proteflazid;<\/li>
      • the lymphotropic method of treatment of inflammatory processes of genitals is introduced.<\/li><\/ul>

        • “Method of lymphotropic therapy of acute and chronic diseases of the uterine appendages” (2005);<\/li>
        • “Method of rehabilitation of women who have suffered peritonitis after abdominal delivery” (2013);<\/li>
        • “Method for predicting purulent-septic complications after abdominal delivery” (2007);<\/li>
        • “Method of prevention of fetal growth retardation using nitric oxide donors” (2014);<\/li>
        • “Method of treatment and prevention of miscarriage in multiple pregnancies” (2017);<\/li>
        • “Method of correction of endothelial disorders in fetoplacental dysfunction” (2017).<\/li><\/ul>

          Proposed for the implementation of PHC and issued information letters about innovations in the health care system:<\/strong><\/p>

          • information letter \u2116 112-2009 “Method of prevention of fetal growth retardation using nitric oxide donors” (2009);<\/li>
          • information letter \u2116 162-2016 “Comprehensive prevention of complications in multiple pregnancies” (Kiev, 2017);<\/li>
