Two leading global ranking agencies have simultaneously released their results, in which Sumy State University (SumDU) demonstrated significant leadership both globally and nationally.
Our achievements:
-
inclusion in the top 500 universities in the world according to the Times Higher Education Interdisciplinary Science Rankings;
-
inclusion in the top 800 universities in the world in the QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2026.
SumDU ranked first among Ukrainian universities represented in these international rankings.
The Rector of the University, Vasyl Karpusha, expressed gratitude to the faculty and staff for their professionalism, endurance, and daily, often invisible work; to the students — for their energy, ideas, courage, and desire to change the world; and to the researchers — for new knowledge, technologies, discoveries, and ambitious projects that strengthen SumDU’s position in the global academic and scientific community.
Special appreciation was extended to the university’s partners and international friends for their support, trust, and joint steps forward.
The Rector emphasized that the strength of our university lies in the dedication, resilience, and optimism that we preserve here, in the city of Sumy. Despite the challenges of war, we do not lose what is most important — our dignity and our belief that Ukrainian science and education have a future.
